I updated the v-party post.
Last night we talked about including the movies in our next rewatch and I want to get any attendees opinions on that. Yes, include the movies or no, don't include them. If yes, just T1 and T2 or all 4 movies? What do you guys think?

Also, if anyone wants to have v-parties at a more convenient for different time zones. You could call it v-party the EU edition or whatever. I'll do what I can to help spread the word.

I think you should definitely include T1 and T2 with TSCC viewing, but you will need to set in advance which cut of the films you will be viewing. Theatrical release, director's cut, extended edition, special edition. I even found a fan edit of T1 with all the deleted scenes restored!

That being said, you could do a once a year viewing of T3 and T4, just to break up the monotony. T4 has some unexplained plot points which become more obvious with each viewing. These create gaps in the narrative which are hard to ignore. T3 can be enjoyable, depending on my mood. The overuse of humor and the silly prolonged chase is a bit of a turn off. The development of Skynet is woefully absent from the film. However, the last 30 - 40 minutes stand out better than the rest of the film for its story. Overall, I'd prefer watching T3 over T4 (Provided I skip over the chase sequence) and I prefer watching T1 & T2 over T3 and T4.

T3 & T4 could be used as examples as to why TSCC is so much better in continuing the story set in T1 & T2. :)

EDIT Fri, Aug 14, 2015 08:29:01 PM:
After seeing Terminator:Genisys, I no longer object to T3 or T4. I've seen the worse that can be made and neither T3 or T4 comes close, not even a country mile close. Yes, I wish T3 or T4 could be better, but at least they don't spend the better part of their film time doing a poor pastiche of every previous Terminator film and TSCC then combines it with the most unnecessary and convoluted time travel plot twist and the main plot ripped straight from T2 like in T:G.

Im in favor of including the movies, and if they will be, i think all of them have the right. maybe most people could say they want T2 and T1 for sure, but as a fan of the terminator franchise i think the best is going from 1 to 4 :)

I've never actually seen the R rated version of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. I am interested to see the differences.

Whatever version others watch I'll have to see the PG-13 version of TS, it's what I have and what's available on Amazon Instant Video.

Here's another "ad" to promote the new Viewing Party cycle. I hope people can join us. And/or help promote it to their groups of friends.

It looks like WB has revamped their website. Sarah Connor is no longer listed among their shows. I can't find a place to stream any of what they have from a browser. They only mention that there is now an Xbox app to stream the latest 5 episode of the CW shows. I've used the one for Kindle.

CW Seed is now free streaming both seasons of Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles!

This service is only available in the USA.

By using the service to watch the episodes during viewing parties - and any other time - we can continue to show Warner Brothers that there are still people interested in TSCC!

Thanks!

ETA: Three browsers, all updated, latest version of flash, adblockers off. Not one will play it. I can only get it to work on the phone app.

I'm using Firefox 40; I haven't had Flash since Firefox disabled it with version 37 or 38; Adblock Plus is enabled; and I can view TSCC on CW-Seed. I also have DSL, so bandwidth isn't an issue.

I'm not bragging, I only mention these things to help you locate the source of your problem with viewing TSCC on CW-Seed. It might be an issue with your broadband provider. Can you see other streaming services, or other programs on CW-Seed?

I don't know if broadband providers still do this, but 10 - 15 years ago, during high use periods, some broadband providers (mostly cable providers) would restrict bandwidth hogging services during those high use periods just to make sure everyone on their system had access. Have you tried CW-Seed at a different time of day?

http://watch-series-tv.to works, tubeplus.me works, youtube works.

None of the shows on cwseed are anything but an empty black box. Before and after I played a whole episode on the cwseed phone app, nothing on any browser, none of their shows I tried.

I can stream 2 shows from Amazon at the same time during primetime, so not bandwidth. I tried disabling my addons. The only thing that changed was when I disabled the flash plugin on Chrome, I got a 'you need flash 10.0+' message. The same thing just happened on Firefox "CWTV requires Flash Player 10.0.0 or higher."

I am stumped, I've tried everything I can think of. Well, I'll give out the link anyway, maybe someone else can use it. I bought the digital series from Amazon, when I stumbled on a good deal, so I've been streaming it from there hoping it would count for something.

That makes two stumps, as I don't know what could be the problem either.
